My Spam Filter is Stopping All Incoming Emails?

All Channel Island Hosting hosting packages include Spam Experts, which allows customers to fine-tune their spam settings.

If you experience issues with your spam filter blocking emails when you believe it shouldn't, we recommend you make the following tweaks to your spam filter, to ensure the filter is firstly handling your emails correctly.

Step 1

Login to your cPanel > Spam Expert and click on the Incoming > Destinations  item in the left-hand column, then choose '+ Add a Destination' from the top menu

In the box that appears, enter the following;

  • Priority:  0
  • Host: your shared IP address (which can be found on the first page of your cPanel page)
  • Port: Leave as is automatically set

Press Save.

Step 2

You will no see two items listed on the page, one will be the IP address you have just set up and the other will need to be deleted, by ticking the box to the left and choosing delete.

Step 3

In the left-hand menu of the Spam Expert page, go to Continuity > Clear Callout Cache Incoming

and then click on the Clear button

That should reset the way your spam filter is working and resolve most issues.  If the problem persists, please do not hesitate to create a support ticket.
